A 16 year old youth has come out of a coma 52 days after being admitted to the Hospital Médico-Quirúrgico in Jaén. He was admitted on December 4th 2009 after compressed air was introduced into his body via his anus.
The incident caused the displacement of several of his internal organs and he also had to undergo surgery for peritonitis.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances of the incident and and also to determine whether charges will be brought against those involved.
