The Blue and Whites travelled to the Bernabeu stadium in Madrid hoping to cause an upset but came away empty handed as Cristiano Ronaldo slotted home both goals in a 2-0 victory for second placed Real Madrid.
Late in the game, Ronaldo tried to look shocked and stunned as he was awarded a red card after deliberately lashing out with his elbow and connecting with the head of a Málaga player….right in front of the referee.
Real Madrid remain five points behind unbeaten leaders Barcelona with Valencia a further five points adrift in third place.
