Strong winds are expected today in the coastal areas of Cádiz and Almeria provinces, with a ‘yellow alert’ status being declared.
Up to 40 centimetres of snow has accumulated in several areas in the northern part of Almeria province and three major roads, in Los Gallardos, Nudos and Pozo del Esparto, remain closed. In addition, five secondary roads are either closed or passage is difficult.
In Granada province, the A-92 is once again open to traffic having been closed yesterday near Molinillo.
In Jaén province, the Guardia Civil is turning back motorists who do not have snow chains in the Sierra Mágin, Sierrade Cazorla and Sierra Segura.
