The Nerja Council is hoping to persuade the regional authorities to fund further remodelling of the river areas in the municipality, a similar type of project to that which was carried out on the final one kilometre of the Rio Chillar.
The aim is to persuade the Junta de Andalucia to continue work along the Rio Chillar up to the Traqueones creek in the north and also carry out similar work on the Rio Seco.
This time, however, unlike with the first section of the Rio Chillar, the Council wants the Junta to foot the entire bill.
