Another six people have been arrested in Almeria in connection with an ongoing investigation into prostitution and the exploitation of women.
This latest operation involved women brought in from South America and Eastern Europe who were being exploited for prostitution.
The women were set up in apartments in Roquetas, Aguadulce and Almería and paid €20 each for a room they shared with ten others. The women were permitted to keep half of their earnings but then had to buy their drugs from their minders.
Prostitution in Spain is big business involving around €18,000 million.
