The football field in Valle de Abdalajís is to undergo major renovation with the current pitch being replaced by artificial turf.
The project, financed by the Provincial Department of Torism, Trade and Sports of the Junta de Andalucia, will cost in the region of €497,446.36.
The football ground, located in the extreme southwest of the town along the camino de El Chorro, has seen many improvements in recent years and the introduction of an artificial playing surface is seen as the culmination of all the work.
The project also includes the placement of fixed nets to protect the goals, a sprinkler system for irrigation and the introduction of two bench seats, each with a capacity for eight people.
