The construction of the underground car park in Competa has forced the temporary evacuation from their home of a local couple after it was discovered that their house had no foundations.
The car park is being financed under the FEIL, or ‘Plan Zapatero’ as it is more commonly known. Technicians recommended that the couple evacuate their home until the base can be reinforced with concrete.
The couple rejected an offer of alternative temporary accommodation from the Council and decided instead to stay with relatives.
