Torrox Council is finalising the relevant documentation ready to start the tendering process for the construction of the interpretive centre at the Roman ruins at Torrox Faro.
The Junta de Andalucia, through the Ministry of Tourism, is financing 70% of the €624,000 project under the Plan for Sustainable Tourism.
Under this plan, this project is second only to the renovation of the Eagle Aquaduct in Nerja in terms of magnitude.
It is currently hoped that work on the project could begin before the summer.
