Nude sunbathing is now permitted on all municipal beaches in Tarifa, Cádiz province, following a Council decision to repeal legislation that prohibited nude bathing on some beaches in the area.
The beaches currently most used by nude sunbathers are Bolonia and Punta Paloma.
The Mayor of Tarifa, Miguel Manella, countered criticism of the proposal by the opposition Partido Popular by saying that the Council was not making naturism compulsory.
