The Councillor for Citizen Participation, Charo Villasclaras, has announced that the municipality already has a Municipal Register of Associations where legally constituted groups are obliged to register. The idea is for the Council to know the number of associations in the municipality, their purpose and their representatives.
All legally constituted associations, clubs, collectives and groups are being asked to go along to the Oficina Municipal de Atención al Ciudadano to fill in the necessary forms and attach the necessary documentation.
The municipal website will be updated shortly with the new ‘Rules of Citizen Participation’ which were recently approved by the Council by means of their overall majority, the opposition parties abstaining.
