A thirty minute downpour this morning in Estepona has caused several rivers to overflow with some homes and business premises being flooded.
Around 88 litres per square metre of water fell in thirty minutes causing problems for the rivers Guadalobón, El Padrón, Guadalmansa and El Castor.
The marina area and several streets in the centre of town were badly hit with flooding and people being stranded. Several roads and tunnels have been temporarily closed while work goes on to prevent further flooding.
The bad weather is expected to continue until at least tomorrow.
