Picasso sets new record

Pablo Picasso’s 1932 painting ‘Nu au Plateau de Sculpteur (Nude, Green Leaves and Bust)’ has set a new record for a painting sold at auction, selling for $106 million at Christie’s in New York. The painting, depicting the artist’s mistress, Marie-Thérèse Walter, has only been publicly exhibited once since 1951, the year it changed hands.
