The contract to restore the Eagle Aquaduct has been awarded to the company Hermanos Campano S.L.
The budget for the works was set at €747,525, but the winning bid has come in at a much lower €513,515. The lower bid conforms to the strict legal criteria according to the Mayor. Once the company makes the necessary financial deposit, the definitive contract will be signed.
The work is being financed jointly by the Council and the Junta de Andalucia. The Mayor will propose to the Ministry of Culture that the balance of the money be used for improvements to the area around the aquaduct, such as for lighting.
