There are fiestas in Caleta de Vélez, Triana and Trapiche this weekend.
On Sunday, the population heads to Playa Las Palmeras during the romería (pilgrimage) in honour of the Virgen del carmen, the only maritime fiesta on the municipal calendar.
In Triana it is the pilgrimage in honour of San José, the procession heading down to Finca La Ponderosa on the Rio Benarmargosa.
The weekend also sees the conclusion of the San Isidro celebrations in Trapiche.
