Police in A Coruña have arrested a man on charges of the illegal detention of his wife who was locked in her home and subsequently died trying to escape.
The victim, aged 36 years, was locked in her home in calle Barcelona and on Friday she tried to escape through a window. However, she fell to her death.
The accused has so far only been charged with illegal detention and the case is not being considered as a case of domestic violence.
