Local Police in Chiclana de la Frontera have arrested a seventeen year old youth who stole a car with a baby in the back of the vehicle.
The incident occurred in calle Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, on the corner with calle San Félix when the driver of the vehicle and his wife got out of the car to run a quick errand.
The opportunist thief got into the car and drove off. He was intercepted by the police a few minutes later and detained.
The sixteen month old baby did not suffer any injury but the getaway by the thief did cause the baby chair to overturn and deposit the poor child on the floor.
The detainee has been charged with kidnapping, vehicle theft and dangerous driving.
