Mexican bullfighter Arturo Macías is in a very serious condition in the Hospital General in Jerez de la Frontera after being gored by a bull on Sunday.
The bullfighter spent the night under sedation and with assisted ventilation althoughhis injuries are no longer thought to be life-threatening. The horns of the bull appear not to have damaged any vital organs.
It is thought that Macias may not recover in time to carry out the rest of his scheduled commitments, these being at the beginning of August in Azpeitia (Guipúzcoa) and Íscar (Valladolid).
