Bar resolves noise issues

The Council has rescinded the closure order on a bar on Burriana beach after the owner swiftly carried out the necessary adjustments to prevent further noise problems.

During the past three years, residents living above the bar have complained on several occasions about excessive noice from the coolers and fans in the cafe. In March of this year, the owner of the bar was fined €1,000 and proceedings were initiated by the Council.

The bar was closed and sealed with tape earlier this week.

The Councillor for Commerce, Jonathan Méndez, remarked that the closure could have been avoided if the owner of the bar had carried out the alterations in March when proceedings were initiated.
