A 54 year old hiker lost his life yesterday after a fall in the los Gaitanes Gorge in the Sierra de los Gaitanes near Álora, Málaga province.
The hiker was part of a large group who were walking in the area of the gorge which, at times, has a height of 700 metres. His companions alerted the authorities after the man fell but there was nothing anyone could do for him.
