The grape harvest in the Serranía de Ronda is expected to be between 5% and 10% higher than last year according to the Agrarian Association of Young Farmers (Asaja) in Ronda.
Around 1.1 million kilos of quality grapes are expected to be harvested, resulting in the production of some 850,000 bottles of wine. Of these, roughly 96% will be red, 2% rosé and 2% white.
The winter rains and no damaging storms have provided optimum conditions for cultivation and the quality of grape is said to be very high.
