More than 300 illegal immigrants have arrived along the Spanish coast in the past few days including the first boat to arrive on the island of Mallorca so far this year.
There were arrivals in Andalucía, Murcia, Ceuta and Mallorca, scores of small boats and other craft being intercepted by the authorities.
In Ceuta, three Algerians were caught as they tried to swim to the enclave, this interception coming after the discovery on the beach of the body of a man wearing a wetsuit.
On Sunday, fourteen illegal immigrants were detained near Llucmajor on the island of Mallorca. This was the first boat to arrive on the island this year.
