Brigitte Bardot, sex symbol of the Sixties, has announced she may run for president in France’s next elections in 2012 as the candidate for the Ecology Alliance party.
The Ecology Alliance party believes she is the best person to represent them for the presidency and if she accepts, a final decision will be taken next year.
A vehement animal rights campaigner and often in trouble for controversial views on a number of subjects, Miss Bardot, now 76 years of age, is particularly annoyed with the incumbent President Nicholas Sarkozy who, she said:
took me for an imbecile by making promises he didn’t keep.
