In theory, redevelopment work on the Centre for Social Affairs in Alhaurin el Grande is expected to be completed in December 2010.
The centre, located in the Jilena district at the junction of calles Esperanza and Ilusión, will have a new 600 square metre exhibition area.
The total cost of the project is now €400,000, some €100,000 more than originally planned due to various improvements made to green areas and furniture for the building.
The cost of the project is being funded by the Council (two-thirds) and the Department of Equality and Social Welfare of the Junta de Andalucía (one-third).
