Voting is under way at 2,721 polling stations in Cataluña in the regional parliamentary elections, some 7,000 police being on duty to make sure that everything goes smoothly.
The voting is being managed electronically in several municipalities: El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona), Vic (Barcelona), La Bisbal del’Empordà (Girona), Seu de Urgell (Lleida), Montblanc (Tarragona), Lleida and Tortosa (Tarragona).
All has apparently started smoothly except in Lleida where a problem with the data system forced the municipality to revert to the old manual system.
