A woman and three children are recovering in hospital after a fire at their home in Puente Genil, Córdoba, in the early hours of Monday morning.
At around 01:40, the Emergency Services received notification of a fire in Calle Nuestra Señora del Rosario in which several people were reported to be trapped inside the building.
Four people jumped from a window in the house, including a 30 year old woman and her three children aged 9 years, 12 years and 16 years, and this action probably saved their lives.
A man who also jumped from the building suffered a broken arm. The woman and her children are being treated for smoke inhalation.
The fire completely destroyed the kitchen and living room of the house. Members of the Emergency Services also managed to rescue a number of puppies and dogs from the house.
