Work has been under way for about a month now on the first mortuary in Canillas de Aceituno and construction of the facility is expected to be completed in 2011.
The project, costing €70,000, is being financed entirely by the Provincial Council under the Basic Infrastructure Plan 2010.
The single-storey building will cover 85 square metres and will include several rooms as well as toilet facilities.
