The Marbella government has approved the legalisation of 300 homes under its new Plan General de Ordenación Urbana (PGOU).
An agreement with the promoters of the newly legalised homes involves the transfer of 12,000 square metres of land and payment of €2 million to cover costs.
The period for builders and promoters to voluntarily apply for legalisation of homes continues until May 2011, after which time the City Council may take the appropriate steps to recover charges.
