Rail traffic between Ciudad Real and Jaén has been suspended on the section between Venta de Cárdenas and Almuradiel following a landslide.
The landslide occurred at around 17:15 on Wednesday due to heavy rains and several trains had to interrupt their journeys, passengers being found alternative means of transport to enable them to continue on to their destinations.
Technicians are analysing the situation to determine how long it will take to clear the affected area and resume the rail service.
