National Police and Inland Revenue officers have seized 645 kilos of cocaine hidden in a shipment of bananas from Ecuador which was destined for Algeciras.
The shipment of drugs was destined for a company in Sanlúcar de Barrameda.
The investigation began in November when the authorities learned of a proposed shipment of drugs from Ecuador.
Eight people have so far been arrested in Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Cádiz) and Barcelona.
