Twelve people, all Moroccan nationals, have been arrested and charged with crimes against the public health after the discovery of 667 kilos of hashish.
A police investigation resulted in the discovery of a cache of drugs in a building near the coast in Algeciras. The are was kept under surveillance and when a group of people arrived and entered the building, the police swooped.
The traffickers tried to flee but were found hiding inside a nearby building and duly arrested.
