Barcelona are now ten points clear pending Sunday’s matches and it is looking ominous for the rivals, of which there is only really one in with any sort of a shout. But it would take a major slump in form to wrest the title away from the Catalans.
Third placed Villarreal, now sixteen points adrift of Barcelona, were rather surprising beaten by Levante, Valdo getting the only goal of the match at the start of the second half.
