On Monday February 28th in plaza de la Constitución (next to the iglesia de San Juan) in Vélez-Málaga is a celebration of the birthday of the children’s mascot of the Axarquia, Xarcuy.
The celebrations, organised by the Department of Youth, take place between 10:00 and 14:00 and activities include face painting, balloon twisting, magic shows, bouncy castles, children’s hair salon, parades and various other popular games.
