The Junta de Andalucia has sent notice of a €30,000 fine to the owner of the La Espuma bar in Cabra, Córdoba, for violation of the smoking ban.
The owner, Rafael León, says the letter was dated February 22nd but was only received on Tuesday March 1st and he has 15 days to appeal the decision.
Rafael León admitted flouting the smoking ban but has since complied with the law. The infringement was classified as ‘very serious’ which carries a fine of between €60,000 and €600,000, but the fine was reduced since he has subsequently complied with the law.
