Work on completing the Community Services Centre is finally on the agenda after a very long break due to the original contractor, Construcciones Orbadesa, giving up on the project.
The new contract, worth €233,614, has been awarded to Transportes Antelo and it is anticipated that the building will be completed within three months. The total cost of the centre will be €528,000, the project being financed by the Nerja Council (40%) and the Junta de Andalucia (60%).
The idea is to move most, if not all, the dependencies currently housed in the Giner de los Rios Centre in calle Diputacion.
