National Police have arrested a 24 year old youth, his parents and his sister, in connection with the killing of a newborn baby in El Ejido.
A young mother, identified as F.K., was admitted to the Hospital de Poniente in El Ejido with all the signs of having given birth and the medical staff alerted the police.
The body of the newborn baby was found in an alley in El Ejido, possibly thrown from a fourth floor apartment, although the exact cause of death will not be known until after an autopsy is carried out.
Police arrested the 24 year old youth in connection with the death and then later detained his parents and his sister, although it is not yet known to what extent they participated in the incident.
All the detainees are Moroccan nationals. The alley in which the body of the baby was found is adjacent to the house where the family live.
