The V International Oriental and Ethnic Dance Festival of the Costa del Sol takes place in Frigiliana on April 8th, 9th and 10th in and around the Sports Pavillion in calle Carlos Cano and the theme of the event this year is ‘Mare Nostrum’.
There are workshops, a bazaar and two gala performances with artists from Spain, Italy, Egypt and Russia.
Friday April 8th
There is a welcome lunch at Ayo’s on Burriana beach, Nerja, starting at 13:00 and costing €8. Transport is provided.
The gala performance ‘Future Stars’ starts at 21:00 and tickets are €11 in advance or €13 at the box office.
Saturday April 9th
The gala performance ‘Mare Nostrum’ starts at 21:00 and tickets are €11 in advance or €13 at the box office.
Artists appearing include Tito Seif (Egypt), Malika Ferhat (Italy), Helena Rull (Spain), Leire Bolumburu (Spain), Sabina Todaro (Italy), Nesma (Spain), Sylvia Shazadi (Spain) and Victoria Ivanova (Russia/Spain).
