The Emergency Services in Punta Umbría, Huelva, have resumed the search for a swimmer who went missing on Sunday on playa de la Bota.
The swimmer went missing at around 19:00 and a search was launched involving a Guardia Civil patrol boat, two Marine Rescue vessels and several helicopters.
The area around playa de la Bota is well known as a dangerous area due to the movement of sediment and sand and strong currents and warning signs recommend extreme caution on the beach.
The missing swimmer is believed to be an eighteen year old British national.
