On Sunday evening, four kayakers became marooned on an island on the Celemín reservoir in Benalup-Casas Viejas, Cádiz province, after high winds prevented them from returning to shore.
On Monday morning, members of the Guardia Civil and Red Cross managed to effect a rescue, transferring the castaways the seventy metres to shore. All four men were in good health.
