Work has started on a four phase project to renovate the Iglesia Parroquia de la Encarnación in Yunquera.
Phase One is the restoration of the bell, which is costing €142,000 and is being financed by the Diocese of Málaga (70%) and the Council (30%). Phase Two is the renovation of the exterior, costing €90,000. Both these phases have now started.
Phases Three and Four, interior painting and exterior lighting, will depend upon the generosity of anyone wishing to help with the project. Those wishing to make donations can do so via the following accounts:
