A 42 year old woman died from multiple stab wounds on Tuesday afternoon at her home in urbanisation Parque Coimbra in Móstoles, Madrid, allegedly at the hands of her former partner.
The incident occurred at just after two o’clock on Tuesday afternoon and followed a heated discussion between the two. The aggressor then phoned the police to say that his former partner was seriously injured and not breathing.
Police found the woman suffering from numerous stab wounds to various parts of her body. Medics tried for thirty minutes to resuscitate the woman but she had lost too much blood.
The alleged aggressor, who had remained in the house, was arrested and then taken to the local hospital to have his own wounds tended.
There was apparently no previous incidence of violence between the couple.
