Two masked men armed with an AK-47 assault rifle robbed a security van in Dos Hermanas, Sevilla, on Monday afternoon as it was collecting the weekend takings from the Carrefour hypermarket.
The attack took place at 13:30, the two robbers firing a burst of shots to intimidate the two guards carrying the bags of cash. The guards dropped the bags and the robbers grabbed the money, thought to be around €100,000, and fled in a high-powered Audi.
The getaway was captured by security cameras in the area and police are now trying to locate the thieves.
