Over 13,000 people aspire to become Guardia Civil officers, but this year there will only be a total of 162 vacancies, which means a lot of applicants are going to be disappointed.
At the Guardia Civil Academy in Baeza, Jaén province, the selection process is already under way for 30 posts in the force. The number of applicants being considered for these posts is 3,500.
In addition to theoretical tests, candidates now have to demonstrate physical and mental skills, with academic achievements and experience in administration being a distinct advantage.
