King Juan Carlos I has left hospital in Madrid this morning after undergoing surgery on the Achilles tendon in his left leg.
The king entered the Hospital San José in Madrid at 21:15 on Sunday evening for the routine operation and left at 07:30 this morning for La Zarzuela Palace.
Two weeks of bed rest followed by two to three months of rehabilitation are apparently the doctor’s orders.
