King Juan Carlos spent a quite night in the Hospital Clinic in Barcelona after undergoing surgery yesterday to remove a benign growth from his right lung.

The King of Spain has undergone surgery this morning at the Hospital Clínico in Barcelona for a growth on his right lung. The 72 year old monarch arrived at the hospital at 07:30 and the operation began at 09:20, the surgery being carried out by Dr Laureano Molins López-Rodó and his team.
