An autopsy carried out on a 37 year old woman whose body was found at her home in San Pedro de Alcantara has concluded that she died as a result of multiple stab wounds.
The body was found by another resident, a British national, in the apartment block in calle Jaén in San Pedro de Alcántara.
There was no sign of forced entry into the apartment, suggesting that the woman may have known her attacker. Neighbours did not hear any screams or arguments coming from the apartment.
According to some reports, the house was allegedly used for prostitution and the woman was constantly going in and out of the building and there was also a steady flow of people entering the premises.
The autopsy revealed at least half a dozen stab wounds and forensic experts determined that the woman bled out as a result of wounds inflicted by a knife.
