A 22 year old youth died on Friday morning in Sevilla La Nueva after being stabbed in the chest, apparently after a fight broke out between two gangs at a bar in the town.
The incident occurred near plaza de Sevilla and the Emergency Services arrived on the scene at 07:30 to find the youth critically injured with a deep stab wound to the chest. Medics carried out CPR for forty minutes in an attempt to revive the youth but were ultimately unsuccessful.
Another youth, aged 20 years, was taken to hospital suffering from a knife wound to the thigh.
It appears that a fight broke out between two gangs, all of whose members were Spanish nationals, and ended with the stabbings. The Guardia Civil are investigating the cause of the brawl.
