The sign is now up for the new shop selling second hand furniture amongst other things. The Nerja Household Centre, near the top of avenida Castilla Perez, opens on October 1st according to notes on the door.
Still quite busy in town, particularly on the Balcon de Europa and also, in the evenings, in calle Cristo. Scottish, English, Irish and Dutch are the dominant accents being heard on the streets at the moment.
There are noticeably less of the various artists on the Balcon de Europa now and, of course, a lot less at any time than in previous years.
The beaches are still attracting bathers, even when the sea is a bit on the rough side as it was on Calahonda beach yesterday afternoon. No lifeguards now, of course, as the main summer season is over.
