Infoca personnel and firefighters from El Ejido, Almería, have been working since yesterday to extinguish a fire at a recycling plant in La Mojonera.
The priority, due to wind conditions in the area, has been to control the perimeter of the plant to prevent the fire spreading to nearby greenhouses.
This is not the first fire at this recycling plant and one last year took months to actually extinguish as the piles of agricultural residue at the plant create layers of combustible rubbish several metres deep.
