Police in Vélez-Málaga have detained a 24 year old Rumanian national who is the subject of sixteen outstanding arrest warrants for alleged burglaries carried out in Denia, Alicante during 2008 and 2009.
A few days ago, police began receiving an increased number of complaints relating to burglaries with force carried out at various homes in the district and began an investigation.
The man was spotted at a local shopping mall and detained.
It is alleged that he selected homes where the owners had gone out and then forced his way in by breaking the locks and seized valuables such as cash, jewellery, laptops and televisions.
