Two earthquakes registering 3.7 and 3.8 on the Richter scale hit the towns of Cuevas del Almanzora and Zurgena in Almeria province in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The tremors occurred at 01:50 and in Cuevas del Almanzora was at a depth of eleven kilometres. In Zurgena the quake occurred at a depth of about ten kilometres.
So far there are no reports of any injuries or damage to property.
